Why we love it
It’s a genuine pleasure to sell houses here in the Delaware River Valley. That is because it’s not just houses we are selling, but the experience of all of the magic that this place has to offer! The families we serve come from all walks of life. Some are passionate about hunting, others gardening, or antiquing, but most are searching for a place to make a deeper connection with their children, family, and the land.
Here are some of the reasons our clients love it here.
Great Hikes
We’ve been noticing a growing trend amongst the families that come searching for homes in our area. Everyone wants to know where the good hikes are! Fortunately we have plenty. Our local hikes are abundant with beautiful nature, and interesting animals. These animals include, the bald eagle, wild turkeys, red fox, grouse, and so much more. There is a wealth of exquisite waterfalls, and wild edibles for foraging. We highly recommend visiting https://www.trailkeeper.org/ for more on hikes and taking a guided tour with founding Naturalist Laura Silverman, of The Outdoor Institute https://theoutsideinstitute.org/
The Fishing
It’s no secret that the Upper Delaware River has been a hotspot for anglers for generations. This comes with good reason, from beautiful trout, to smallmouth bass, American shad, Stripped Bass, Muskie, and catfish, there is a fish for every kind of fishermen. Many enjoy tapping into the rich history of fly fishing here. Our gorgeous stretches of the Neversink river have been credited as the birth place of dry fly fishing. For more about fishing here, try visiting the Catskill Fly fishing Museum, Zane Grey Museum, or booking a trip with one of our local guides.
Fun with Kids
With the way kids are growing up today, in such a dense technological era, we understand why more and more families appear to be searching for fun things to do with their kids outside! The Delaware River Valley has a fun for everyone with water parks like Costa’s and Kartrite, rafting trips down the Delaware River, Historical Reenactment, tracker parades, bike paths trough the woods, zip lining, county fairs, and so much more!
